Shipment Manager

Fleet Owner
A fleet manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a company's vessels, ensuring that they are well-maintained, cost-effective, and in compliance with regulations. Duties and concerns include:
Maintaining the fleet
Managing costs and budgets

Scheduling

Logistics Director
While the logistics director may have some oversight of the organization's fleet, their responsibilities extend beyond just managing vehicles. They are concerned with the entire supply chain, ensuring that goods and services are transported and delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. Duties and concerns include:
Developing and implementing strategies
Ensuring compliance
Negotiating contracts
Analyzing data
Managing teams
Scheduling

“We use BOL (#), but everyone is different and call them different things. It makes searching for a shipment complicated.”
“We trust Overhaul, but we can’t trust freight forwarders to give you the information we need.”
“There are so many statuses, I’m not sure which one I’m supposed to look at.”

“We’re trying to find shipments with the best chance of getting back on track with the least amount of effort.“
Canonical Layout
The new interface would rely on a canonical layout that would drastically improve the responsive nature of a map-based application on mobile, desktop, and folding screens.
Alert levels
A new color system that originally worked for security alert levels (high, medium, and low) would now work with ETA status (early, late, on time, at-risk).
Cohesive Map
In its initial version, a map was dedicated to each shipment. Now, users could view all shipments with a similar status in a specified region.

Shipment List
Shipment cards, each representing a single shipment, display multiple tracking numbers to enhance search functionality. Users now clearly understand status, ETA, number of segments, and the mode in combination with any active filter tags.

Shipent Details
An entire page of details pushed clearly and functionally into a panel allows the user to validate each piece of information with the map to the right. It also enabled us to move forward with a mobile approach.

Filtering
The filter panel aligns with all map-based applications and recently created dashboards. The majority of its functionality also aligns, but exceptions are made to work within Shipment Manager. Each filter’s format is molded around content to create a dynamic space that keeps complicated functionality from feeling too overwhelming.

Order Tracking
An entirely new feature to Overhaul, orders most often span across multiple shipments making it difficult for teams to properly track. Shipment Manager’s order tracking feature enables these teams to organize these shipments and track individual SKU numbers associated with each product.
